The Western Australian Electoral Commission is a government agency that operates under legislation and government directives. The remaining policy requirements for the Commission relate to internal operational matters, meeting desired government outcomes and addressing matters outside the existing legislative framework. The Commission is committed to ensuring that government policy and directives are followed and integrated into our policies, processes and procedures. The Commission's policies are available to the public.

The electronic version of the policy is the official document. All policy documents are "uncontrolled when printed". After you have printed a Commission policy document and when referring to it in the future, you must check the currency of the document online to ensure you are referring to the most updated version. This is to ensure quality control of our documents.
