The Western Australian Electoral Commission is committed to delivering quality electoral services to all electors and to conducting effective education and engagement programs, recognising the diversity and geographical habitation of electors.
The Commission recognises the practical challenges that some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people face in engaging in electoral processes.
The formation of our current Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which is for the period July 2011 - June 2014 attempts to address these challenges and improve the electoral experience for Aboriginal people through clearly defined actions with measureable targets and timelines.
We welcome feedback on our RAP from interested groups or individuals in the community. All relevant contact details can be found in our RAP or through the feedback tab on our website.
