Referendum Arguments

The following documents contain arguments supporting the 'Yes' and 'No' cases for the two questions in the 2005 referendum on Retail Trading Hours. The arguments are brought to the notice of electors here, having been correctly authorised, in accordance with the requirements of the Referendums Act 1983.

The arguments are presented in the order that the questions appear on the ballot papers. You are encouraged to read these arguments prior to making your decision about how you will mark the ballot papers on polling day. For further information contact the Election Line on 13 63 06.

Consistent with the statutory requirements, content of these arguments has been printed as they were presented to the Western Australian Electoral Commission.
