Under the current statutory provisions the possible range of dates for the election of the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council have been identified.

The earliest possible date for a conjoint election (both houses of Parliament) is Saturday 23 June, 2012.

The latest possible date for a conjoint election is Saturday 4 May, 2013.
